PNPI takes an active part in design and construction of the LHC
detectors ATLAS, CMS, ALICE and LHCb. Since 1997, the preparation work for the LHC experiments
has become one of the main activities at the PNPI High Energy Physics Division. Members of
the “Laboratory of Elementary Particle Physics” are also involved in this activity connected
with the detectors ATLAS,
CMS
and LHCb.
