We focus our attention on the damage-spreading features and show that the value of the growth exponent for the distance, $\alpha = 0.32$, coincides with that of the random updating Bak-Sneppen model. Moreover, we generalize this analysis by considering a broader set of initial perturbations for which the value of $\alpha$ is preserved.
